Just got some parts back from chemical stripping. The finish is so much better than sandblasted. I’m hoping this will produce a finer finish when I get these parts to galvanized.
All 127's up into the early 90's were special order vehicles built by the special vehicles dept by welding in 17 inch extensions into the rails of 110 chassis they snagged from the regular plant. All the 80's 127's had 110 vins, They were not a "production" vehicle until the early 90's. Ea truck had a contract number plaque and if its still there Land Rover can tell you the build details and whom it was built for.Ooohhh... early square rear doors! I think these early frames were extended 110 frames. If early enough, I think the radiator surround said Land Rover 110 and the VIN breaks out to 110.
Where was the Contract number Plaque located on these ?All 127's up into the early 90's were special order vehicles built by the special vehicles dept by welding in 17 inch extensions into the rails of 110 chassis they snagged from the regular plant. They did say Land Rover 127 on the grill though.
