Fuel filter is changed and yes I did fill up at a pretty shady spot. Seems to run ok but tomorrow I drive from Denver to Silverthorne so that’s the big climbing test :)
Are you planning to run up 70?

Floyd Hill sucks the life out of my truck. I take 6 to Idaho Springs- slower speeds in the canyon and it's not as steep.

Latest fun is accelerator cable froze so wouldn’t return and hood also froze shut this morning;-)

I’m going to plug in the heater!

on the plus side the colder air made it smoke less!

If you are rhd you can replace the tdi cable with the td cable . It's wayyyyyyy shorter and still fits / has a plastic liner so no lube required.

Jason, post some photos. We are a visual bunch.

No need to put it in "pro-mode". It'll use up too much battery.

ive started using the block heater and it makes a big difference. Only issue I have now is a squeal when I get up to 3000rpm ... sounds like it could be a belt ... I’ve checked that nothing is rubbing ... today I’m going to try turning on the ac to see if it makes it worse.

Latest news ... all running good ... after swapping the fan belt and tensioner... I spotted some soot around the turbo to exhaust junction. I suspect the squeal is the gasket failed. I had it once before when I had a v8.
Anyway ... order heading to RN tonight. Winter storm warning with up to 4ft east of Loveland this weekend!
