Clutch pedal adjustment

Feel like this has been beaten to death. But my issue really comes from the fact that the pedal does not return. I have the LOF master and LOF spring and a new oem slave(new from February)

Sofar I tried using that little adjustment screw on the housing itself(in the engine bay) both in and out
And I just tried backing off the clutch adjustment but in the master itself all the way to the end of the rod.

All I successfully did by doing that was raise the engagement point to where it's just when I touch the pedal itself.

Tomorrow I'll try running the adjustment the other way towards the master itself and see what happens. (Almost where it was when I started tinkering)

The clutch pedal has always got stuck on the floor in both positions.

Been there. Same exact setup, in the end I regret doing both the spring and master, but I got it to work and actually like it now. I ended up bleeding and setting pedal without the spring in. Then I it it back in and continued to tweak it. I let mine gravity bleed for a few days but using a 2x4 on the pedal. I made a post about it here. Good luck.

If it doesn’t return you likely stiil have air in the system. You need to adjust the two nuts on the shaft (2) so you have your pedal at approx the height (from the floor) specified (140mm) in the shop manual. This is achieved by loosening and tightening the two the nuts on the clutch shaft (2).

Right now I have a helper spring like the 200tdi style to pull it up

What I'm worried about now is that I'm putting in a new gearbox with new clutch n flywheel. I wonder if I should ditch their MC..

The lof master is really not great. I had the same issues. Swapped to a dorman and had it adjusted in one cycle .

They even say on the website don't use it with a brand new clutch, it just doesn't have enough throw/fluid movement.

The dormant kid is well worth it The downside is that you have a stiffer clutch even than stock. The upside is that it's pretty much bulletproof and will always work

I’ve got a few thousand miles on my new LOF clutch and New LOF cylinder. It’s only now just becoming tolerable in terms of take up and pedal feel. Annoying conceptual defect in the product.
