Cleaning up Aux Wiring: Electrician Recommendation?

I’d like to get the auxiliary wiring on my 110 cleaned up.

In a Mud Console, I have Carling switches for:
  • Aux driving lights
  • Rear work light
  • Heated front seats
  • Heated Windscreen
  • Rear wash/wipe
The console also has a Carling-sized dual USB power outlet from Blue Sea and a 12v cigar socket from Blue Sea.

My rear defroster, interior lights and hazard are still in the stock location and I wasn’t planning to relocate them.

In addition, I have a Webasto heater under the cubby mounted in an SDO enclosure, which also supplies always-on USB and a 12v socket.

The Webasto set up and the winch (which disconnects via an Anderson in the battery compartment) were done by Doug, who also installed an entirely new harness, so I’m feeling pretty good about that. Everything else is a little…I think the technical word is “janky.”

The main thing I know about automotive electrical is that I would prefer not to electrocute myself, or set my vehicle up for a future fire. I don’t know if what I have calls for an auxiliary fuse box, or if that’s unnecessary, but I don’t currently have one.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid automotive electrician in the NYC area? Pretty much everything I can find are shops focused on audio setups in fancy cars. I want someone to appropriately wire some accessories in a car that’s likely to be wet on the inside and out.

As an aside, my windscreen and seats have On/Off switches. Do others do it this way, or with a momentary On switch and a timed relay?

Thanks for any advice and suggestions.

@Nick&Nora Sounds like your are not up for the job? A prewired bussmann is 75% of what you need. Fuses and relays all in one.
Hi there. A good detail wiring person is worth their weight in stainless security bolts!
Would you be able to recommend a particular bussman for this type of work? I'm looking to do the same thing myself once my truck comes back from the shop.
And am I correct in thinking all I need to supply to a pre wired bussman is a good solid IGN pwr, ACC pwr, Ground and possibly Constant 12V ?

I would say I'm not up TO the job. No one ever mentions the fantastic wiring job the inexperienced PO did. I'm not planning to sell, but I do want it done right.

It would be awesome to learn under the watchful eye of someone who actually knew what he was doing, but I would be in new territory for me here, and I don't want my next thread to be "My 110 burned to a crisp."

Bring it to Maine? We can integrate an sPOD or the like and make it easy and tidy for you.

If you are in NYC I would reach out to Brooklyn Coachworks. I've called them a couple times and they have been helpful.

Thanks, Josh and KW. I should have closed the loop here.

At the advice of a few folks here, I took the 110 out to Trevor at British 4x4 in Elizabethtown, PA at the beginning of the summer, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience and the outcome. Trevor was great to work with and went above and beyond expectations. Highly, highly recommended.

As to Brooklyn Coachworks, my wife and I passed their Jane Motorcycles/Brooklyn Coachworks shop on Bleeker a few months ago, and she pointed it out. I said, "It's for folks who want to drop six figures on a Rover and be done." "Oh, you mean all at once rather than slowly over time?" was her response...
