Central Locking: Half fast vs doing it right?

I want central locking on my 110. I bought a cheap kit for like $50 bucks and don’t really want to hack it into the doors, and have to open the doors in 6 months.
My though was to use the wiring and the ”brain” and then buy the actual LR door actuators, door looms, the rear inner panels for power locks and all the extras.

I have a couple of questions

I noticed the front door actuator is different and is sometimes referred to as alarm? It has 4 fires. Does anyone know if it’s anymore involved than just opening the lock? (Biggest question)

Doing it right is like $800, is it worth it? Am I Crazy,(that’s not even all LR parts)

I was also thinking about trying to find the correct green alarm dash module and going through that. My wiring is from a 1999 and I have the 70 serial dash module.

When I used to do installs back in the day I had really good luck with the Chevy Caprice door lock solenoids from 77 to 1990. They're heavy duty and cheap. I know that doesn't especially help you but it's an easy to come by part
