My current chairs are from the Walmart in Whitehorse. Left the old ones at the campground. They are red. You can sit in them. They are fancy and have a place for a beer in the arm rest. They fold up and have a bag. Some five year old in China made them for us. I think they were $5. That's 50 cents in American.

Jimmie, you should swing by EE - I?m sure John would spend an entire afternoon playing with Kermit chairs before offering a $6 steak and Johnny Walker.

Went by EE today and got to check out the Kermit chair. I didn't realise how small they are. I can see how it would be too small for someone like Doug. I can see one in my future.

Roorkhee Chair

Not particularly compact, nor particularly bulky, but super comfortable and fun to make:
This. Exactly this.

I’ve had a couple of these for over a decade. These are the most comfortable camp chairs I have ever had. I recently replaced the canvas with an old military medical litter/stretcher canvas I had laying around. They are basically director style chairs but with the full ‘“sling” canvas.

It aught to last another decade or two now with the new heavy canvas. Bought them off Wayfair for $20 each. 🤷‍♂️

I don't like supporting REI personally, but this chair keeps coming up in reviews as being very good, and its on clearance sale for very reasonable $35...

I also really like the idea of this Nemo Star Gazer chair, pricey, but currently on sale for Half Off!

I had a chance to sit in a Eureka! High back recently and plan to buy one when the Canadian weather improves. It packs up to a similar size as all of these folding chairs and is of comparable weight. I plan on enjoying it while my wife sets up the mattress and sleeping bags in the tent - then promptly returning to my old chair when she emerges and wants to sit down…

I bought a couple of these from OZ Tent. I like the adjustable lumbar support. I have some back issues and most camp chairs do not have enough support for me and I get uncomfortable in them quickly.
