Bonnet Stuck

Stupid issue -- the hood on my 90' is completely stuck closed. The release pull-cable inside the cab appears to not be broken, but does not "release" when I pull on it with a normal amount of force; I can get at the release latch on the front, but the hood remains jammed closed.

Any suggestions short of using more force? If it matters, this happened right after re-attaching the hood.

pull your grill off and access the hood latch from there. There is nothing holding it on except the 2 rotating latches in the rear (maybe the plastic things are stuck?) and the hood latch

Like Robert said... Remove the grill and look for the latch. You might want to have a second person help you push down the hood while you release the latch.

I've replaced the cable 3 times... Last one came unglued before even finising the installation.

Thank you! -- jiggering the hood with the grill removed did the trick. I had also forgotten to reconnect the hood support stick; from eyeballing it, having support attached may just barely keep the hood from closing as tightly.

I bought a new one to replace my broken one, it then broke after a few months and now I just tug on the cable from the front. Reach your hand through the grill and pull on the cable as it runs in front of the top part of the radiator.
