Bonnet seals

What are people using for the NLA bonnet seals at the front edge & sides? I'm pulling the nasty insulation & adding closed cell sound liner before installing the new bonnet insulation. Sourced the missing buffer-bonnet stops, but can't locate the front edge finisher (MRC7104) or side seals (MTC6413).

I’ve never seen these seals or a defender equipped with them.

Well thats different. Is that a Puma hood?
Only person I know with any kind of hood seal is a TD5 owner up in Canada. He bought 3m stick on door seal off Amazon and claimed it made it quieter.

Generic weather seal on the inner flat edge. Decreases engine noise, keeps mud, slush, rain, dirt out and stops any hood rattle. 👍

Get a roll of the stuff from Amazon.
Probably $6
Keeps dust and dirt out.
Mine is smaller diameter than ^^ 4RF ^^ above, so it isn't visible when the bonnet is closed but still does a great job.

Not a puma hood. The parts are listed in the Land Rover One Ten Parts Catalogue for vehicles up to 1986. Thanks all for the direction - I'll look into the weather stripping. Wish I would have asked before I spent so many hours Google searching the parts . Pretty sure these seals are not really stopping water as much as just preventing vibration noise.

On another note - I noticed Jeff B has only two bonnet stops of a different round style than my four rectangle stops. Is that a puma hood or a later improved style?

And I got one of those Nakatomi stainless kits with all the hardware and it included new bolts and bumpers for the hood!

Okay. Used the weather stripping Red90 suggested. I wanted an unbroken seal from side to side. It required drilling out the rivets at the lead edge of the bonnet - in order to get the separation needed to slide the seal over the skin edge - then drilling through the seal to fasten with rivets again. Here is how it turned out.

Ok, looks a little funky ... but how does it work?
A bit more reveal than I expected, but it is snug to the point of having to drop it from 18" up to get it to latch fully. I may go with the "stick it flat style" when/if I ever change color. Black on black isn't as noticeable. Nice thing is, it's easy to change! I think the rubber will compress more over time & there should be no vibration from the bonnet. We'll find out this week.
