Bonnet release cable question/dash gauge question

As I continue my experience of creating a vehicle from scratch, had 2 questions as the parts catalog is pretty vague.

Does anyone have photos of how the hood release cable is mounted/routed through on a NAS 90?

and

Does anyone have photos or anything helpful for assembling a LHD dash? Gauges/cowl/etc.

Thanks!

In between haha. Technically 98-2001.9, so Td5 era, but not "td5 dash". Electronic gauges, goofy harness, but will appear pre-td5

The cable routes through the bulkhead and behind the engine to in front of the heater then tucks in to the fender to the front cowl hole. the adjuster nut thingie is 7mm if I remember right. you need a wrench and a socket on it, there is also a clip at the end of the cable sheath. That will basically scratch your paint btw.

I set my gauges up from least to most important.. Left to right.. Tach, Fuel, Temp, Speedo. The normal harness will fit whatever you want usually.
The gauge cluster just screws in, nothing fancy there, it uses the plastic inserts for the screws and bolts, then the dash itself. The only tricky thing is the grey dash backing piece if your using a non-td5, that is kinda force to fit but don't break it- the hockey stick piece and the right hand grab handle then goes in.

if its a TD5 rest of the dash its different.

Thanks for those photos, I appreciate it. Unfortunately I have a NAS bulkhead so the interior side doesn't have that bracket, and I believe is on the other side of the bulkhead center

I think the only hood release worth having is the lever one. I removed the stupid pull-handle from the drivers side and installed the lever on the passenger side. The NAS bulkhead doesn’t have the studs pre-welded, but it works great.

Maybe I'll do that then, I agree. The d2 release is so much better than the d1/rrc

Yeah it’s been a pain for sure. Just when you think it’s been behaving it won’t release...I have contemplated the upgrade.

Know it requires drilling holes in the body panels, but I have resorted to using the 2 outside military hood latches just so I don't have to break the plastic ears off, then use vice grips, then have to remove the grill just to check the oil.
I'm done with all that.
The military latches eliminate all the hood release problems and fit the aesthetic persona of the marque.

I have the later style lever release on my 90 and it is far superior to the pull handle. Fortunately I used a later style bulkhead so the studs were prewelded and I didn’t need to drill anything. If it helps I can take some measurements or make you a template so you can add one in the correct factory location.

I appreciate the offer Paul, but there's actually a Td5 110 here that I can use to measure/copy. Will definitely be doing the later style

Doesn't look too tricky to me, but it does seem like a much better design. This is the one we had outside. I might just drill holes and use bolts since I have open access to the area right now on both sides of the bulkhead. The bracket comes with the cable/lever btw. Part FSE100460

Peeled stuff back as far as the dynamat. That’s the floor part of the exmoor matting in the bottom of the image.
