Blower duct seal

Is the genuine blower duct seal the best bet for replacement? Not sure if some generic seal would be better it not or some home depot frost king. Wing is off and mine is disintegrated, now the time. Thanks

I just used some stuff left over from a HD project and seemed to work fine.

thats the seal. opens up to form a circle. sticky backing is far from perfect.

I got some 1x1 foam from the depot and will see how it works out.

moved the seam to the bottom post pic. this stuff was perfect and have enough to do about a dozen more. $14 from depot.
