I've been working on my truck tonight, troubleshooting my fuel feed issues and examining the fuel supply system for potential problems. I noticed that I made a janky fuel line splice back when I installed the Robert Davis sedimenter:
As you can see, I joined the plastic hard line that feeds the lift pump to some 5/16" rubber hose that connects to the barbs on the sedimenter. This is a future problem waiting to happen so I want to replace the entire line with a single piece. I don't intend on running biodiesel but I might as well put bio-compatible line if I'm going to go to the trouble.
Actual Viton brand hose is absurdly expensive: Grainger sells a 25-ft roll for $815. McMaster sells their own generic flourosilicone tubing (P/N: 9627T18) for about $240 for 25 ft. Has anybody tried it or a similar generic brand? Does it flow well?
