That city is such a shithole now. Sad. I wonder how bad it has to get before voters will lull a different lever to get change.

Don't know why they blacked out the license plate, but if someone hears of a blue 97 D90 up for sale in the west, it might be this one.

If you read the description, that photo seems to be from a Ring Camera from a house that the guy burglarized. So the plate was probably blocked in the photo by the house owner before giving up the photo(?)

Why would someone black out a stolen plate, go to a car wash, call out the cop (assumed) and give the cops number. Just seemed odd.

I agree. Something about it just doesn't feel right. Possibly flagged for a false report? (Apologies to the victim if it is legit).

Was reported stolen, has been recovered. Don't know the story.

And it actually isn't as unusual as some might think for a thief to take their stolen ride to the car wash.

Made a ass of myself doubting this story - I was trying to connect the dots between stolen, but no license plate info, used in a robbery, then public car wash photo that doesn't show the face of the guy washing it, Craigslist post flagged for removal, etc.
Glad it was recovered!
