Awesome! From your posts I picked up one of the 20v fans, great for summer camping and getting my charcoal going. I also picked up a 12” bar 20v chainsaw and it single handedly cleared the way for our group on Florida Rd a few weeks ago, really great piece of equipment for the price.

I've had terrible luck with chainsaws, I had a gas mccoullough that leaked fuel every few months, then an electric ryobi stick chainsaw for getting tall branches that the chain loves to walk off the guides. You like the dewalt 20V linked above? I need something for post-winter cleanup in my yard...

If you are into the Dewalt environment and the batteries you have work on them, probably good. Otherwise, Stihl battery chainsaws are the way to go. Chain walking off the guide suggests that its not tight enough. Many of these smaller chains stretch very quickly on the first few uses.

One of the handiest tools I have owned, perfect for getting into tight spots.

You have to oil the crap out of the small chainsaw on a stick thing in my experience. I have the el cheapo black and decker one because it was the longest (and I did not want to pay for a gas powered stihl one).

I cannot possibly tighten this one any more each time, I think its a bad design on how the nut holds the tension honestly.

I can always do that more. PArt of my issue was me oiling it BEFORE I tightened the chain, so I think the oil was causing the cam-thing to slip and release tension. I'll try wiping it clean, tightening, then oiling

I have a stihl farm boss 290 20in blade pre emissions with a case and chain protector. I have used it once. :)

Trust me, it was hard not to buy a stihl one, but for what I am doing, the little POS chinesium black and decker works fine (probably safer too).

I have had an Oregon 40V battery chainsaw for about the past 4 years; I love it. My favorite feature about it is the built-in sharpener stone. This saw uses a goofy chain that sharpens the flat side of the tooth, versus the inside like a traditional chainsaw. Getting dull, pull the sharpen lever, sparks fly, instant sharp chain. I will never go back to a gas saw unless I am clearing a lot or something.

My18v Ryobi chainsaw on a stick works great. Take it back and get another.
