94 NAS AC de-install help

With some motivation from Ron, I started to deinstall the AC in a 94 ST in order to deal with other issues where it was in the way. It wasn't working anyway and the harness to fuse block on heater box is pretty toast. Lines were removed, and fortunately I was able to pull the fitting through the firewall (after some serious wrestling) and remove them. The condenser is sitting on the floor but I need to remove the harness from the upper dash mounted control box. I'm stuck at this spot and am hoping I don't have to remove the dash to get the harness disconnected.

Anyone happen to have a picture of the rear of the AC control box? I would like to know if any of the wires can be disconnected?

The temp sensor wire that goes into the condenser. Feels like it is soldered to the control box, and feeds down and is jammed into the condenser between some fins. Can anyone confirm that the wire is indeed soldered to the control board, and second can i pull it out of the condenser without destroying anything. I can pull it a little, but then get a lot of resistance. I can pull the lower unit out once that single wire is disconnected, even if the rest of the harness stays in place for now.

I can get some pics if it helps. TIA.

Now I wonder what parts can be salvageable.

Thanks @JimC , just needed a little more influence to come out. The probe wire is the only thing soldered to the control box. The rest of the harness leads are just spade connectors, so you can pull them off one by one, and then pull the probe wire up with box. For reference, the harness is too short to turn the box around while installed, so you have to disconnect them blindly.

The knobs come off I think (been a while since I did this job) and you can push the switches back though which may have been easier. Also that little cover on top of the dash comes off to get the wires back out I think too.
