94 NAS #357

It pains me to write this but I am selling my portofino red 1994 NAS Defender 90; #357- awesome number, with 115,2xx miles. My kids are growing and the rig can?t accommodate all three in the back plus the wife and a dog. With the help of Jeff Huff at Lelofab, who welded together a support frame, I installed a Defender II rear seat across the tub as a stop-gap measure. It was also perfect for us as it had the Latch system for my kids car seats and a integrated middle seat belt. It worked well for the past few years but I have finally decided to sell the 90 to parlay into a 110. I also don?t get the chance to take it out much and that?s a shame. It probably only saw dirt twice a year when I could get off work and take vacation in the mountains. Otherwise it was mainly used on family camping trips. I bought it pretty much stock but chose what I thought were tasteful upgrades when things needed to be replaced and sometimes when they didn?t. I was also mindful to keep anything that was original to the truck and kept for the next owner to include: cubby, front bumper, rocker panels, rear bench, even the shitty orig binnacle and water temp gauge. Here is how I outfitted the truck since owning:

Black Badger II with Gutter Kit (9/16)
RockWare front bumper
8274 Warn winch with Viking offoad synthetic line and hook
RockWare rock sliders
4.12 Ashcrofts ? pegged - with ARBs front and rear
ARB compressor under passenger seat
Voyager Offroad roof rack (can be removed/added in 30 mins)? with Farm Tek chicken coop decking
Southdown Fuel Tank Guard
KM2 255x85R16 Mud Terrains x5
Bilstein shocks
OME MD springs
Truck Lite LED headlights
Mantec snorkel
Trailhead 4x4 Engine Oil Cooler hoses
Diehard Battery
Safelite windshield (3/31/16)
Action Alternator Rover HD Alternator 140 amp (4/29/16)
New radiator/thermostat/hoses (9/4/15)
New starter
Magnaflow stainless cat back exhaust (6/2/15)
New door seals
Badger bikini
Tuffy center console
Lelofab center console riser (housing aux fuse box and amp) and footwell panels
Exmoor Trim molded matting system 3 pieces
Raptor Binacle Mount and Deluxe LHD Binnacle
Series/Defender Outfitters Dash Center face plate panel ? upgraded hazard to carling and maintained the original clock.
Powder coated black upper door with new Garrison window seal
New stainless quicknut door top fasteners

Originally this truck had an LT77 but when it wore out the previous owner had an R380 installed and the transfer case rebuilt. New front driveshaft and bearings installed during this service about 3,000 miles ago. Paperwork for this service conveys as do all my receipts for service/purchases (I need to get them out of the house before my wife starts adding them up.)

Known issues:
I have given up on the ignition on this truck. Like many here I got worn out from swapping out the ignition and have gone to a push button start (still needs key for wheel lock). If this bothers you ? you don?t really want this truck or you can outfit after purchase.

The doors could use work. Previous owner banged them up pretty bad trying to get the door tops off and I?m sure I haven?t helped either. It also seems they had been resprayed in the past as there is a clearcoat chipping off the passenger door. The bottoms need work too. Its passable and merely cosmetic at this point to me, but I planned to have them done this winter. The next owner will have to do so.

Rust on the rear cross member. The rest of the chassis and body looks good.

I also installed a rear camera above the license plate that runs all the time to my rear view mirror with integrated LCD. After installing the Disco II rear seat it was a bitch to see behind me. If the next owner brings the truck back to stock by reinstalling the rear seat h/she can keep it if they want or remove.

These are old pics from last fall with the bikini top on. I also have some shots of it with the Badger on that I took a few days ago.

Please IM me with any questions and I?ll get back to you as soon as I can. Truck is located in Arlington, VA. Selling here for $58,000 prior to moving to Ebay in the next few weeks.

Bonus:

Thanks to lordhelemt I have a size large T in black and a stainless black water bottle with #357 on the badge to match!
