300tdi R380 input shaft swap into a V8 R380 gearbox

I have a really good condition low mileage R380 gearbox from a V8 Disco. I want to use it with a 300tdi. I have been studying up on how to accomplish this. The gearing is slightly different but not enough to be a problem.

The most important thing to do is change input shaft. 300tdi conversions in Disco 1s were popular not that long ago and I bet someone here did this.

My question is a J suffix 300tdi input shaft a direct swap in the North American V8 R380?

Answering my own question to a degree. I have found confirmation the 300TDI input shaft and the V8 are both 22 tooth. I am satisfied this means they are interchangeabl.

My clutch alignment tool is an input shaft from a 300 tdi r380 that I destroyed. It works with any 4 cyl clutch setup but I can assure you that the 4cyl shaft will not work with V8 clutch discs. I believe the spigot bush is also a different size/part number.
