24/27 Spline CVs

Got these odd CVs on the bench. 27 spline inner and 24 outer. Best I can find, they may have been made by Rovertracks or Longfield. Anyone know anything about them?

not sure what happened to rovertracks, there was someone else in the uk offering similar axles can't recall the vendor, one more is ashcroft transmissions.

Was told these may be GBR, but now I'm certain.

"The diameter of the inner axle shaft at the CV joint is increased from .885″ (32 spline) to 1.20″ (27 spline)"
The photo is also identical.

Unfortunately the email and phone number are unresponsive. I know GBR shut down years ago, but still hear of Bill offering services.

I don’t think they shut down. They have Google reviews from a few months ago

Got in touch with Bill this morning. The number on his temporary site is wrong. Ashcroft offered a replacement 23 spline star based on ball diameter measurements, but Bill is skeptical they will be completely compatible. He still has several sets of axles on the shelf for these old but strong CVs. Hope this helps anyone else who runs across a set of these.

I know old thread but I have a set of these as well as the axles. Purchased 2nd hand in 2013 or so. They were made by RCV Performance I believe for GBR and/or Ashcroft. Later they switched to 23 spline. RCV rebuilt mine for the cost of shipping and some minimal charge. Not sure if they made the axles too. Anyway, yeah good stuff.

@Ren Ching did you talk to anyone specific at RCV? I recently found out a set of axles and cvs I bought used advertised as Ashcroft are actually these odd ball 27 spline ones. I need to replace the star piece on one of them.

Don’t have any way to find that info. I would just call them.

Hello, I am also hunting for a set of CV joint stars with 27 spline. I emailed RCV and trial-gear so far, but they both don't offer a rebuild kit for these CVs. I will try ashcroft transmissions maybe, but can't reach GBR.
