We arrived mid morning Thursday and got on the trails before noon. Different sets of issues this year, the venue was very different this year because up until last weekend the area has had a very mild winter. Dropped through ice in places normally frozen solid. Overheated the M15000 to the point it wouldn't retrieve line -was fine after cooling down. After a deep water submerge the trans lost 5th and reverse because the plunger switch for reverse was frozen and not allowing the shifter to throw. Lost brakes on 3 corners because of not using them (crawler box) and repeatedly dunking and refreezing the calipers, learned this only after pulling onto pavement, kind of alarming driving back to the hotel with only LF brake.
Had to chip ice off wheels and valve stems to find valve stems to air back up. Water and single digit temps made for unexpected ice issues in odd places. A 4 inch recovery strap that was thrown in the back of the truck wet on Friday evening was like a wooden 2x4 the next morning. Winch line was frozen to the drum after being submerged, took two guys to pull it off in free spool. After each stop the parking brake went bang as it broke free from being frozen. Good times
