Just signed a lease on a small sugarbush that should yield me around 50 gallons of finished Maine Maple Syrup. If I do better than 40 gallons, I plan to age 10 in a bourbon barrel which has made me some KILLER syrup in the past too.

So, basically a heads up :)

Do you have a sugar shack and do you participate in Maine Maple Sunday?

Sign me up. My yogurt has been lonely.

I don't know if you get any of the "grade B" stuff but I love it--so intense and delicious.

How lame. I'll bet they renamed it because the suckers thought Grade A was some premium shit and they wouldn't buy the Grade B.

It’s time! Syrup is slowwwwwly being made. The cold temps are great for us and the syrup has been incredible.

Those of you who asked about Grade B..yes! 90+ % of our production is grade B. Sap in the beginning of the season produces Grade A, but after the first week it’s all grade B.

I will keep tabs now on this thread so post up if you have interest. I won’t sell or gift anything until the rover crews are taken care of.

HMU with any questions. Sticking with previous years pints run about 15 bucks but I can do gallon jugs if needed too!

Kev we dont do maple sunday mainly because we are so small (comparatively) and its at our house.. and usually we like to use that day to visit another maple producer and be spectators too!
