Im looking for a radiator fan shroud for my 2.5Td to 200TDi conversion. Is the 200TDi fan shroud the same as the 300TDi? Thanks.

Unless you're dead set on keeping you have an engine-driven fan moving to electric gives you so much more space to work up front. I've been on electric for years no complaints.

for the amount that you spend on just the fan shroud plus shipping you can probably get the revo tech kit for Land Rover direct with brackets and everything

Just so you know. I live near Portland, and I've got 12k on my 300Tdi. I have an electric fan on the radiator, and I've used it four times. I turn it on when I get over 190 degrees. It also gives you a giant empty space up front to reach into when you are doing any kind of work on the front end of the engine. I always figured if the summer months start pushing my temps up, I'd spend more money on a better fan, or go to a standard set up. But I have trouble ever getting it over 180, even after 30 minutes of driving with 75% of the radiator covered in the winter months.

Thanks for the replies.
I like the idea of an electric fan.
Help me understand something. The electric fans look like they cover only the radiator so the will be no air draw over the turbo intercooler. Doesn't that make the intercool ineffective?

I've not had issues. I suppose it would cool faster than what I am used to, but as long as it doesn't get too hot, I'm OK with that. I'm using a used one that I had cleaned, installed, and I've just... used it. I'd like to upgrade some day, but will wait till I need to pull the old one if it starts going bad.

You going to be at Rover Rendezvous on Saturday?

I’d say that if you are able to, spring for a new intercooler, or even an upgraded one. Or maybe get a snorkel to help the temps. I’ve not had problems, but running cooler is better.

A factory shrouded mechanical clutch fan is, in my experience, the most reliable and highest airflow option. Electric fans may give some HP, but i'll take the reliability and always functioning OEM.

Adam I agree with you. One of my main goals of this project is to make the rig as reliable as possible. For now Ill go with the e-fan until I can find a fan shroud. I do need it running by the end of March. I'm scheduled to deliver my daughter to her wedding in the Landy, so real pressure on me...

I did the Ford Taurus fan mod in a 200Tdi. It is a 2 speed fan with a shroud, less than $100, spares available at every Autozone in the US. Install was very clean and shroud only took a little bit to modify for a nice fit against the radiator.

Taurus frankenfan is pretty sweet setup. Anyone do it as of recent? seems like all harness links are now gone, and so many parts numbers to pick from. Alternatively, as yet another option, BoB has this SPAL kit w/ hose adapter and direct fit mounts, anyone ever try that?
