anybody know if anything around this diameter? It seems like 2.7" is the smallest that exists.

Other ideas are rectangular ones that would install vertically above the bottom circles maybe?

I'm gathering parts for a MoD aircon install and this would be for the Mud UK console upper portion.

I understand the desire to try to get it to fit neatly, but you’re adding aircon to a vehicle interior not designed for aircon. As unattractive as it sounds, just having piping and regular sized vents attached at desired points for aiming would function much better.

Two inch duct diameter is the common size, which makes any vent opening larger than that....Dig through the classic car/hot rod sources

I don't disagree that smaller ones would not work as well, but I'm limited to physical dimensions. I got this photo from Frank that I think is what I'll do. 2 Larger ones on the top, mount the radio in the middle then the floor swivel vents I found on ebay as numbers 3 and 4. I can always add more later.

full credit on this goes to @SplurGn when I inquired on his build. seems like the logical route based on what MOD did with the crazy fan powered booster vents.

vents from a 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse are commonly added to miatas. the miata "eyeball" vents cant be closed and the eclipse ones can. they are very small and panel mounted.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while also. I wondered about installing vents in a mud pod just above the fuse box, but this causes interference with the shifter. I found Vintage Air part number 472213 that could be suitable. Also, I was pondering face-level vents in a mud pod in the normal location on top of the dash. This seems aesthetically ok but would require some creative ducting to supply the air. Maybe a 3D-printed part?

Do you happen to know the edge to edge diameter of those? They look like they'd be VERY close to what would work.

I also found these that might work.
