Can't help you with the part, but I would recommend checking the 3 plug male/female connectors going into it, and also pry the plastic case off (looks like a snap-together) to look at the motherboard PCB. Check it with a magnifying glass for any solder fractures. That would be an easy repair if you found one that proved to be the fault.

Those have been NLA for two decades. It’s one of the few pieces of NAS era electronics I have not had in my hand to try to repair. If you find a work around, please post it here.

As much as I’d like to someday own a ‘97 NAS, I occasionally see posts like this for NLA electronics (that seem to be unique to the ‘97 MY) and it makes me wonder if I should just stick to ‘94 and ‘95.

Sorry OP, I know my post is not helpful to your question.

looks like a amr5360 with a different white connector and top half of the case that covers said white connector

the big transistor controls the interior light dim when the doors are opened, closed, started, etc. the beeper goes off if the lights are on or the keys are left in the ignition.
Theres some other stuff like not letting the window defroster operate if the oil light is on with the assumption that an oil light present is a nonrunning and non charging engine.

It might also do the wiper delay, I don't remember that for sure though.

Did anyone ever find a fix for this? I tried to send it off to be repaired, Nothing. I need a new unit as my interior lights and other items aren’t working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated
