For sale, an unmolested cloth 5 speed D1 with no sunroofs. Beautiful clear glass. Unmonkeyed with and ready to daily drive as is. This Disco is a Willow Green 1996 SD7 with no sunroofs. Cloth, with no tears. Just under 117000 miles. SRS and ABS light are on. The truck passes Georgia smog tests. I have had it for almost a year. The previous owner had aged out of it as failing health forced him to pare down his possessions. I am listing this truck as my aging knees prevent me from truly enjoying a manual transmission.
Recent work includes fresh paint on the roof as the clear coat was shot, fresh windshield and rear quarter glass seals, a new battery, repaired dash binnacle, D2 rear view mirror with digital compass, D2 door seals, fresh tires and shocks, repaired leaking fuel vent line, flushed brake fluid, new spark plugs, wires, and MAF (MAF replaced due to broken plastic tab), recovered headliner, new window regulators on both driver's side doors, new lock actuators on the tail door and second row left side door.
All power windows and locks function correctly. The a/c blows cold and the heater blows hot. Or as hot and cold as these old Discos ever get. There is a slight, intermittent grind in the lower synchros if you rush a gear change. The LCD digital clock is fully operational and visible. She cruises nicely at highway speeds with no drifting or other instability. The stock radio works and features the often-elusive radio code in the accompanying factory manual.
The bad includes a few small dings and goobers in the paint and plastic. Nothing too bad, though. Some very light rust on the frame and likely elsewhere, but no rot or perforations. If the truck were a gun I would say it was in 85% condition. It is used and with much less than average wear and tear for a 1996 model.
I will happily meet with a transporter to coordinate shipping. I will also meet a buyer at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport.
I appreciate your interest and look forward to answering your questions.
