1986 LHD FFR - decided to keep it.

For Sale: Salem, Oregon

1986 Ex-MOD FFR Land Rover 110 (Defender) 3 door with many upgrades.

Garage kept.

It had 46,200 miles on it when it came off the boat from Holland and it now has 72,000 miles (which are almost exclusively droning back and forth to work on the Interstate).

I was originally prepping her as an overland vehicle, but had a major surgery 3 years ago and I just don’t have the time or stamina to finish and care for her like she needs.

I imported this vehicle myself from the Netherlands back in 2014 from a private owner. I still have all the paperwork and can share. The owner before me spruced it up quite a bit from the original FFR. He had it painted what looks to be Aintree Green and freshened up the interior.

It originally came with the 2.5l naturally aspirated diesel (with a whopping 68hp) and the 1.6 transfer case.

I have completed several upgrades over the last 5 years. Please see the list below for details.

I am now asking $30,000.

PM me if you want more information.

On the plus side:

MWM HS2.8L Diesel engine with 19,000 miles on the clock when I bought it.
R380 gearbox came with engine, same mileage
1.4 LT230 transfer case
New floor panels and tranny tunnel to accommodate different transmission
The engine still has the factory a/c compressor but not the rest of the system.
I was going to finish it out, but (in my opinion) it doesn’t get that hot here so I put the money elsewhere.
Uprated aluminum radiator from Allisport
Full size intercooler from Allisport
New spin on type fuel filter
All three doors are steel skin from a newer Defender (NO RUST)
Electric windows on front doors (factory correct style)
Bulkhead in very good shape (minimal rust)
Frame in excellent shape (minimal surface rust only)
Four new (2 years old) genuine heavy-duty coil springs from Rovers North
Four newer (3 years old) Bearmach gas charged shocks
5 bar chequer-plate on front wing tops and side bottoms
Land Rover side nerf bars
Land Rover rear folding step
Land Rover rear ladder
Heavy duty front skid plate
Heavy duty front and rear diff guards
Thule roof bars (two with keys)
Interstate battery (bought new back in 2015)
New front swivel ball pins (with associated replacement seals, etc.)
3” stainless steel exhaust front to rear (including free flow muffler)
6 (not 4, not 5) Boost wheels with one-each anti-theft lugs
6 General Grabber ATX tires (just went through their first rotation at 5,000 miles)
Leather/cloth front seats
Some sound proofing in the front with carpet throughout
New two-piece factory headliner
Steel locking center cubby box
Rear compartment trimmed out with under panel storage (see pictures for detail)
Custom made rear side windows designed to mimic the windows on a carawagon
All gauges (including boost, EGT, and oil pressure) have been updated with new VDO gauges including GPS Speedo (I still have the originals)
All lighting has been updated to LED lighting including headlights
Rovers North grill blanket (never installed)
Extra set of LED headlights
To many small spare parts to list
Factory repair manual (hard copy)
I also have the original Webasto engine heater and controller that came with it. As anyone who know these things, they are worth their weight in gold.
I didn’t get to reinstall it on the new engine, but I’ll throw it in with the other spares.

On the negative side:

Paint has chipped off in a couple of places (see photos)
Usual dings for a vehicle this age (see photos)
Some underlying corrosion (see photos)
Side nerf bars have rust on the bottom
Needs backup light hooked up
Needs rear overhead light hooked up

I will truly miss this Rover, but just don’t have the heart to kill it on the interstate or let it languish in the garage.

Here‘s a pic to get an idea. More below.

If interested, PM me and I will be glad to answer any questions and provide more photos on request.

I think your price is very fair. I think most people didn't realize that they can click thru a bunch of good pictures with the one picture link you posted. If I was looking I would consider your truck. I love the 2.8 Tdi engine.

Lots of upgrades & a really clean truck. For someone in the market for a 3 door ex-MOD 110, you have saved them a lot of work!

I'm not a fan of that photo app. OP, I think you would do better to upload the photos as attachments. It would be more obvious to people and get your truck more attention. Also, embedding HTML like this can compromise privacy for people viewing it.

Looks a fair sight better than mine.

Can't remember if I've seen this truck or not. I'd be willing to inspect for someone if they are interested. But the pics seem to show the condition pretty well.
