110 roof - paint or replace?

I'm hoping the group can help shed some advice, I'm wanting to paint the roof panel of my 110 to one of the several white choices used by land rover, or... is it cheaper/easier to just swap the roof panel. Possibly also gaining the benefit of no sunroof? I'd rather it not leak than have a sunroof.

Any idea what it would cost a body shop to spray my 110's roof?

I'm in Philly so if anybody has a white 110 roof and wants to trade/sell me one that's ideal too.

Rivet an aluminum cover plate to delete sunroof with seam sealer and repaint any color you want. Should not be too bad.

I'm not sure that wouldn't come out looking terrible from the outside and I'd have to re-headline it on the inside still

Maaco would likely be around $300 to repaint the roof. They use Dupont products.

I didn't have good luck with a Maaco paint job (years ago) with overspray, entirely missed sections... have they improved generally or is it still a location by location thing? (honestly asking)

Removing the roof takes little to no time and is one of the easiest things you can do in my opinion. If you’re painting it, definitely take it off completely rather than have them paint it on the vehicle.

hows the rest of the truck present? Just curious if the roof is a stand out to the rest of the condition? Another option is to seal up the sunroof (like mentioned above) and put the cash towards a roof rack and just use it.

Its good, has some galvanic corrosion along the sides, runs great, interior is clean and all there, frame is good, drivetrain is in good nick. I'll need to replace the middle doors eventually, but overall it was well cared for. The white roof is just an aesthetic thing I've always liked. I'm not sure I'm in the market for a roof rack for a while, perhaps an awning that mounts on the side and/or some cross bars which were always nice for Xmas trees, skis, etc. A full basket I don't see myself needing for a while. I'd prob do an exterior cage before a full rack.
Could try Selden Motors in Conshohocken / Willow Grove. They've got a bunch of extra roofs over there. Not sure of condition but likely without the sunroof. Owner is a little sketchy so good luck.
I'll go tomorrow! thanks!
