Thanks Jimmy for the alert here -
The 110 available now is really really clean... a car that should go to someone that wants to travel and doesn't want to mess with it much. It's rare we see them this unmolested (specifically wiring wise) that are also set up well for travel. That said, We deal in other cars as well, and keep a rotating inventory. The last thing we want to do is corner someone into a purchase they don't want to make. Typically when folks fly into the shop, we show them 4-5 options so they can feel more educated about their selection. This car mentioned above is mechanically very well balanced between factory original, and mechanically new.

Unnecessary. The truck is at the top of my budget, right hand drive and gas. I also don’t like yellow. It looks like a great truck, just not what I’m looking for.
Can you help the group and give us a punch list of items that are non-negotiable for you? Even if it isn't one of ours, if I know of one, we'd be happy to make the introduction.

You bet. I'm looking for a 5 door 110, diesel, LHD and would prefer white or green. I have a $40k budget for the right truck (I originally said $45K but have backed off a little). This won't be my first defender, however it will be my first 110. We just outgrew the 90. I'm somewhat educated, but know I still have a lot to learn. Looking for mechanically sound (well as sound as possible) and as little corrosion as possible. I'm not in a big hurry, but have been looking for a while and I'm ready to buy.

There are typically 2 types of buyers.
Serious buyers actually intending to make a purchase when they come across a good sound vehicle and have middle ground to compromise on the purchase of a sound example.

Then there are the uncompromising buyers that enjoy all the aspects of the search for their dream vehicle perhaps even more than owning it.

Would think that Johan has multiple vehicles that will satisfy all the requirements that you have disclosed, but that probably will never meet the ones you haven't.

Actually I’ve sent him a message inquiring about what he has available or in the pipeline. I have not received a response. At the end of the day everyone is trying to buy the best truck they can with the knowledge and budget they have. With all the horror stories out there I am admittedly nervous to purchase a truck I can’t see in person. My dragging my feet on the last one cost me for sure. Regardless of what you are assuming about me I’m a buyer, and ready to purchase. I will however wait for a decent opportunity. I appreciate your knowledge and feedback, but the childish/snarky comments aren’t needed.

Never been called snarky and childish before, but I think everyone here is actually trying to help one another.
Following the momentum: then there are those that come for help and advise that actually are not really interested in getting it.
The proverbial glass can be seen half empty or half full.
Then the half full good choices become half empty bad ones, just depends on perspective, really.
Let us know if you're scared to buy a 110 that is close to what you think you want right now...

If you've never been called snarky it's because you haven't listened to people calling you snarky.

@TexasD-90 I understand your position, and doing this as my business every day I can tell you are a no-nonsense buyer who knows what they want. It can be found and maybe I can help you evaluate candidates without the unnecessary "noise" of the forum and its few members who feel compelled to comment on every thread for some reason, despite having nothing constructive to add.

If you want to cut to the chase, send me a note. I don't feel obligated to make my expertise public for the entertainment of old scotsmen.

Now that's an age prejudice snarky comment, can't call it childish though.
I hope you don't get paid entirely on commission.

If personal finances are a topic you'd like to discuss Robert, you spend a tremendous amount of time on the internet for a man who is meant to be running a workshop/retail business. Your clients who have been waiting a year or longer for engines and "kits" to be delivered would be better served (or served at all) if you had the willpower to step away for more than just a moment at a time.

I'll save you your next step Robert of now feigning offense, and being a victim of your suppliers / machine shops / only so much time in the day / trying really hard and doing your best. We've all heard it before. Yawn.

Hey guys I apologize to the OP and anyone who reads this thread for getting out-of-line.

Was surprised to see such a hateful personal attack in posts 35 and 36, but do not feel any animosity from receiving it.
When you build custom products, it can and does take lots of time.
Adam, I hope you sell lots of vehicles and are very successful.
There is only one person that has ever referred to me as an old Scotsman, and it has never been you.

Best of luck everyone, it's time for me to move on.
If needed you can always email.

Hope that's just for this thread, not the entire NAS-ROW site. I try to keep a sense of humor when reading & posting comments.
Even with strong opinions, you are one of the of guys who is always willing to help & has the experience & knowledge Defender owners like myself need.

Careful. Don’t hate on the RHD. They’re fun to drive.
