Neil is working on my 110 right now, and I saw that LS 110 when I was there back on 12/20...really beautiful all around. I love RHD, and don’t think I’d go LHD due to loss of space...plus don’t have 100k to drop on any vehicle.

The best RHD engine is a 2.5NA in my opinion. Passing is nearly impossible with the NA, so you wont miss being able to see around traffic ahead.

You wont see many rhd trucks bringing 6 figures.
Rhd kills values a min of 10k, usually considerably more.

Drive both daily.Im 6'5 and 260 and find the space comments humorous since the additional space is pretty irrelevant given your feet are in the bulkhead footwells on either side, not in the space the offset tunnel affords. That damn parking brake handle can be relocated to the right side on a lhd truck, mine are.

Agreed, to the enthusiast. This thread was about value/ sale prices that trucks are bringing. I have a friend in Mass that bought a carburated v8 rhd 5 door 110 from South Africa with the galvanized bits and had it for sale for 5 mos for 27k asking price. No one even contacted him for additional pictures. He converted it to lhd and it sold immediately for $40k. Seemingly the market spoke, not just about market price, but also time on the market. Conversely this sold very quickly https://www.defendersource.com/thre...-off-restoration-100k.162919/#post-1919793355

To me its not about personal preference.Trey and I have both and could care less which side the steering wheel is on when we jump in a truck. That said, If you are an owner spending significant funds on powertrain upgrades etc it makes little financial sense not to convert to lhd. It insures you can recoup your investment. For these co's building the stuff this thread is about, its pretty much a mandate.

The folks buying the six figure Gucci Rovers dont care about zinc. Their concerns are flawless 2 stage metallic paint, diamond quilt & leather wrapped interiors, automatic transmissions, power windows, heated seats and windshield, navigation, bling wheels and tires, and how they look driving it. Being an enthusiast forum I get that most here have no appreciation for the trucks morphed into show pieces, however there is clearly a healthy market for them.

This will be an interesting value tell tale.
Very low mile 300tdi/ r380 truck with galv chassis and bulkhead and working a/c.
But its rhd.
This is the perfect truck for most here but not the upper brackets crowd.
This particular truck will be a good indicator of where the top $ of the rhd market is.

Personally I'd rather have it than the truck I linked above that sold around 100k.

The nicest RHD won’t get to $100k. Likewise, no one wants 110 regulars or, for that matter, non-NAS D90s in that price bracket.

The ROW 110 SW super restos are interesting to me. Given the last not horribly rotted out NAS 110 on bring a trailer sold for $70k, one would think the money would be better spent buying and restoring that (as it could be registered in California) and asking $150k than buying a $20k ROW and trying to get $100k.

The issue with that is the total lack of available rotted out NAS 110's for these shops to buy as a starting point. Look on ebay its crazy how many 90k plus trucks are listed.

I for one love the heated seats :)

I think there's a bit of a middle ground - daily-able comfort with stellar (by default) looks and relatively dry most of the time.

I see tons of those $90k plus truck on ebay all the time. I just wonder how many actually sell at that price. Sounds like quite a few. Blows my mind.

I see plenty of 100-150K trucks being built that are not on the reseller market at all.... that is just the buy a base truck and build cost. The market is pretty strong for it and your only seeing the ones that reach the internet showrooms, which are mostly going to be the bottom of the barrel ones. ECD did 50+ trucks at ~ $200k last year, ECR is backlogged with work....forever, etc..

As i do my build on the 110 i am keeping an eye on what people want, which means LHD, Auto, etc.
