1990 Defender110 ex mod. Seems kinda weird, i drive in 4th gear prior to shifting to 5th and little to no smoke, shift to 5th gear and a constant plume of black smoke. Runs fine, holds 60mph when i am on long trips. Thinking dont worry about it or see if it’s something i need to address.

Yea i want to drive up to the cabin on the weekends, its 125 miles each way. unfortunately my mechanical aptitude is pretty non existent, figured id look at other options vs a tow truck "in case" i have issues. LOL
