It's a little more nuanced than that, as there's long 4 cyl 77 bellhousings too
The Lt77 and R380 4 cyl short bell housings look virtually identical, but they are actually 30mm different and do not work
We stock the dual sender from VDO which sends oil pressure signal to gauge & idiot light. Nice to have because the switches can and will fail over time.
Im not sure I've ever worried about oil temp personally

I have the washer bottle combo that I blasted and galvanized. Believe it's the same part with an extra bracket spot welded to it
Would sell for $20 shipped as I converted to LHD and changed the washer bottle style
Yes, LH thread, so you tap it towards the right from the front of the engine. Make sure you support it near the end of the thread so it doesnt damage the radiator. Correct, thermostat is self-sealing, non-replacable O ring that comes with the thermostat
Realistically the only tool you need is the wrench and a mallet. It would cerainly be easier if you had another tool to retain the pulley but it's not necessary
