The only real place that has clearance and places to drill a hole to mount I found was under the fender tops. Take off the plastic access panels to get your hands in there.

Be careful without being able to read plates. I've had 3 or 4 incidents in the past few years that every single time local (and one time state) police wouldn't do anything if I couldn't read/identify both the plate and the driver.
