What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Caught up on some maintenance before I head to New Mexico for the ANARC training with I4WDTA. The clutch master started dripping a while ago… so replaced that with new double seal master, same as LOF (second master in 10 years). Swivel seal was a bit weepy so changed that with Corteco seal...

    Webasto Thermo Top

Its is not recommended to be install in any position other than horizontal and level (Webasto installation manual) . Its not designed to work in any other position. A mate installed one in his 300Tdi and removed the washer fluid tank and installed a Td5 style washer tank under the front left...

My OCD is an issue.. had to make a custom switch

You can defo pull them apart and rebuild em. I use the hazard switch as a base to have my Td5 switches all backlit, just pop in the rocker part of your old switch!

As posted verify the blend cables are working correctly and attached properly at both ends as well as your fan switch cable. Have you confirmed that your heater core is not plugged with scale? It is an 83 🤷‍♂️. Good luck

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Sorry I don’t have a link but as I recall its a sealed unit where the boot is closed on the wire end. Perhaps you can salvage that rubber boot and put a bullet connector on the end. Or… Perhaps you could source a single snap connector and put that on the sensor and then solder a bullet...

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Temp sensor plug… I believe it is the standard female bullet connector on Series trucks and most anything BL made back in the day.

Internal roll cage for a 110 - thoughts?

It does its job in the woods with branches and such 😁. I still have the internal supports if some day I decide to add them. 🤷‍♂️

Internal roll cage for a 110 - thoughts?

Mine was a safety devices I found on this site. Its only the external loop. I did not install the internal hoop as it was simply too restrictive. I believe safety devices has been undergoing a business shake up for a while but are still in business.

Internal roll cage for a 110 - thoughts?

So yes you can use it on a five door CSW. The thing is, the internal mount is VERY invasive to your shoulder space. Be aware of that if you choose to go this route. Personally I’d spend coin on good sliders for side impact protection first. Good luck

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Doing it in situ is virtually impossible… you have to empty the coolant, besides its easier to just clean everything with it out. Oddly intermittent short term use is what causes the carbon build up. They are designed to be turned on and used for hours at a time. Mine lasted 24 years🤷‍♂️. I...

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Rebuilt my Webasto Thermotop C furnace. The stainless mess grill gets full of carbon deposits and runs then stops. Its a simple fix but you have to cut the top of the burner off to get at the screen. Too about an hour or so to complete. I actually had a spare burner so it made it really...

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

I clean it all out after every off road and as I drive it in winter it’ll keep slush off the cross member and away from the electrical connections.

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Installed more Gwynn Lewis mud guards in the rear fender area. Already have the front ones and front of rear wheel arch set. Also installed removable rear mud flaps and new Bilstein rear shocks. Sadly I replaced the OE shocks less than two hears ago with OE Boge shocks (Genuine LR supplier)...
