    ‘96 D1 Rocker Arms

Never mind. Upon looking more closely only RH arms were used. As its apart will redo it properly.

    ‘96 D1 Rocker Arms

Chasing down a tick and removed the rocker arm assembly to find what is pictured. 5k miles on new rocker arms. The one valve “tab” was actually broken off the arm. The wear of the other ones just doesn’t seem right to me yet this is my first rodeo as former repair performed by my shop. Obviously...

Reflecting on Changing Tire Size over the years..

Agreed. Always have considered a winch as an additional traction aid albeit the last resort. Camel Trophy Rovers ran tall / skinny and did pretty well with winches grinding. On tire size pretty sure owner age is also a factor. 😁

    Sightings

I kinda remembered a nice article on Land Rover’s use of green and found it. Guessing if an original color it was Pastel Green. “Land Rovers have been available in some form of green since day one. Early models, before mid-1949, were finished in Light Green, reminiscent of World War II...

Always felt better easily seeing the drum while winching and re-spooling yet that’s always the setup I’ve had. Thx.

    Torque (wrench) Talk

Your methodology works for sure. However I’ve experienced a rear wheel passing me with a fully loaded RRC. After collecting myself, finding the wheel, and installing it using 1 wheel nut from the 3, we limped to our camp ground in Moab. We sang “You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel”...

    Torque (wrench) Talk

My primary use is torquing wheel nuts so went with a very basic 1/2” Click type 10-150 ft/lb range. Lexivon purchased from Prime.

    Land Rovers That Suck

Agreed yet thank heaves still pretty far off. Tuscan Blue is a great Classic color and looks fantastic on an early 2 door Rangies.

    Building the perfect 90

You know the Landy creed - If it isn’t leaking the “xx” is empty. I consider myself very, very fortunate as the ‘94 LWB doesn’t leak a single drop any where and it gets driven. Feel sure you’ll get it leak free as well!

    Building the perfect 90

When we first moved to Japan had to drive out to the airport and fetch the Labs out of quarantine. It was the first time driving there. The Company lent me a car to use - RHD and a manual! It was very strange at first yet you get used to it. Had a RHD ‘96 D1 while there. Always seemed to me that...
