Have you ever driven on MA highways? In my experience there are usually 2 cars in each lane going either the speed limit or slightly below. There is a Peloton for sometimes 1/2 to 1 mile behind them. I don’t drive excessively fast anymore yet 5-10 over isn’t all that excessive imho. Same happens...

On my Saab there are many settings you can change. Disabling the DRL was one of them and one that I did within days of purchasing the car.

    RRC O2 Sensors

My experience as well. When we took our ‘94 over to Switzerland in 2001 it had the original O2 sensors. Filled it with fresh Swiss non-ethanol 91 octane gas and had no issues passing the emission inspection. Of course it still failed the regular inspection as the tires didn’t have a noise rating...

    Silly Stupid Winch/Bumper Question

This setup is very close if not the same as I had on my ‘95 D90 SW. The Rover is listed in the For Sale section of this Site. There are more pics of the bumper/winch in the listing.

    Silly Stupid Winch/Bumper Question

On my new ‘95 D90 SW I had the LR winch option installed by the dealer. Unfortunately do not remember the Warn winch model yet it was compact. Had a nice plastic cover as well. The winch mounted onto a Land Rover Defender Front Winch Bumper that was very similar to if not the VPLDP0443 which...

First Real Problem with the RRS TD6

Kinda remember Caterpillar selected when Range Rover came over in 1987? They were a support sponsor for the 1989 GDE.

    Not Something You See Everyday..

Agreed on efans not cooling as well as mechanical driven ones. Had one in the ‘67 109 SW when ECR stuffed a 3.9 V8 in it. Not enough room for a mechanical fan. No shroud and of course the grill opening not all that large. Engine always ran on the warm side yet of course a blast to drive...

First Real Problem with the RRS TD6

“The change in the distribution strategy that has caused the massive bottleneck and the change of suppliers are part of the transformation” Classic example of a new strategy very poorly executed by a Company’s management team.

On a roll with pre .jpeg pics: ‘93 LWB on visit to CO. There for my birthday in May and a Winter storm came through. A Mt. Hardware expedition dome tent was totally destroyed! We lucked out and only had a bent support pole.

Another pre .jpeg pic: 1996 D1 we had in Japan in 1998. Found a road that headed up Mt. Fuji yet gated off as we drove a little further.

I Rubbish Defender, Ineos Grenadier, Landcruiser 70-series Auto @4xoverland

When we were living in Switzerland 100% of the rental cars I used from work to the airport had e-brakes. Even the low end VW Polo my wife drove had an e-brake. They make it difficult to easily slide the rear end. 😁

Appears that way to me. Guess it must be very difficult to recognize a Speed Limit sign while texting. However, it is a sign of the times and why personally more concerned about being in an accident caused by another driver vs one caused by my vehicle.

Thanks for the info. Was unaware NHTSA was going in that direction. And agree most people don’t respect others properly whether vehicles or land. The only time I drive the RRC into Pittsburgh is to visit a relative at their residence. In any case thx for the link / information.

Very true yet I was referring to this: “Just saw on the Gren forum that the 2024 models will have lane keep assist, emergency braking, speed limit sign recognition & adaptive cruise.” Doesn’t sound like the stripped down, no nonsense, utilitarian 4x4 philosophy lasted too long imho.
