I’m having a flange spacer plate worked up, so I don’t have to stack gaskets. Considering exhaust wrap with the closer clearances, The kit came with new exhaust to chassis brackets. Will post sound & smoke results when finished.

That's a good idea! I only need about 1/4" to remove contact. I'll try that before I start altering the design.

The pipes both have flexible lower ends, so I'm pretty sure I can rotate the oil drain sump pipe & bend the oil feed pipe slightly for enough clearance. I have a 200tdi on an engine stand with a better view of the pipes & mounting screw. Here is a drawing of my idea. Current problem on the left...

Good news & bad. Matches up to the turbo, but the downpipe touches the engine oil feed pipe & oil drain sump assembly hexagonal mounting screw. I think I'm going to have to remove the standoff mounting screw & bend up a bracket that offsets the pipes.

Out with the old! Lots of evidence of driving it off road & neglecting maintenance. Muffler break rattled like crazy. I'm encouraged by the side by side bend comparison. Soaking the turbo/downpipe flange with Kroil overnight. Even though it's going to get dirty as soon as I hit the hills again...

Had no time over the Labor Day weekend, so I started taking it apart after work tonight. Here are some before pics.

I sure hope so! That's what I ordered it for. I specified 200tdi in my instructions & the dowpipe bolt plate layout matches up. I'll find out more this weekend.

That's the route I want to go. I'm all about less parts & keeping it to simple functionality. Wondering about the noise & exhaust smoke increase without any muffler at all. Don't want to be obnoxious.

It's time for a new exhaust set up. Mine has been rattling from the center muffler separating. Since I'm replacing it, now would be the time to upgrade. I currently have a 200tdi 110 with the center & rear mufflers. I'm reading about upsizing the exhaust &/or removing the mufflers for lower...

This is a great idea to move parts. With only one available at that price, the deals are so good it's like chumming the water & watching the frenzy! I put my order in this morning, but see that Jim over on Dsource has an order in as well. Hmmm... someone is going to get a good deal today.

For sure. Much less wandering on the freeway. Surprising how much a little wider stance & better tires changes things. Still don't fit in the standard ruts in a forest road, but I don't think about it as much.

Added spacers & switched my wheels from black Wolf rims with Super Traxion bias-ply tires to white Wolf rims with more appropriate radial LT235 85R16 Goodyear Wranglers. I ordered the 8 ply tires thinking it would be a more "old school" look, but they never felt "right".

I'll be keeping an extra banjo bolt, washers & a length of hose on board from now on. Not that I plan on ever breaking one again.
