Test resistance from the multiplug to spade
Provide a true 12v to the multiplug and measure voltage at the spade . Check for voltage drop
If you have excessive resistance or voltage drop you know that segment is suspect . Do the same for each section of the circuit to isolate the issue.
Or...
you will need pliers to pull apart the multiplug if it hasn't been done in a while, repack it with dielectric grease when you reassemble after cleaning it out .if you have a starter relay it will probably be under the fusebox cover, yellow in color on the lower right side.
if you do have a...
you only have to trace one wire, NBD. it goes from the engine harness to the multiplug near the fuel filer to the dash harness then to the ignition switch. its prob just the switch, they fail really often.
disregard my post then. I thought you were talking about the fuel stop solenoid. you may be inbetween teeth on the starter , put her in 5th or revers and push it a few inches. try again
First time I did the timing I used a ratchet on the socket to turn the pump. I found that the slop in the ratchet made it really hard to get in accurate reading.
Now I back out all four of the glow plugs and then use a mini breaker bar on a 6pt socket. Much better
I didn't realize that you had it timed this engine yet. Timing with a gauge would be my first step, then adjust boost and fuel to stock , check boost and EGT gauge and check for smoke . Tune from there if you want more power
