Is that salt water, Stu?

Yep. I must've sprung for the undercarriage wash ten times in the weeks following that trip. Plus a few rolls of quarters at the DIY wash running the wand myself.

I found a small fish caught in the brake shield when I did the brakes the week after I got back.

I'm glad I went to Portsmouth, but I suspect I'll never go back.

Guess the 110 we had in Brasil qualifies as "ROW". This is from a trip to the Atacama Desert. Crossing from Argentina into Chile. And refueling somewhere in the middle of Argentina. Too bad we couldn't it back with us. It was an awesome Rover that took us to some very remote places.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, new Rovers hold up pretty well to the salt water in my experience. My parents have a beach house in NC that requires you to drive on the beach to get to it. This means that during high tide, especially during storms, you are driving through some salt water. They go every other weekend in the winter and neither of their Rovers have any rust issues. Same goes for the rest of my family that goes down there in their Rovers.

Hite Cove near Mariposa CA.

Fair bit of winching took place that day. I got a little overzealous seeing how far I could make it down in winter.

The road bed to the village is not salt water. When flooded its because of heavy rain
Mosquito's are like pteradactyls back there

Peter and his white D1. Owyhee Desert, Idaho.

By the way, I just discovered that you can cut-and-paste images into the post editor here on DWeb. How sweet is that?
