300tdi intake hoses

Anyone have any good alternatives for the lower hoses (6,7,10) that attached to the side vent into the airbox? Just wondering before I try to get new ones. Mine are pretty crusty and the PO's field expedient tape job is no longer holding up. Thanks.

you want authentic LR parts? or some parts that are almost identical / Racecar parts... More affectionately known as Donky Dick. Have a look on Mcmaster-Carr

Certainly doesn't have to be. What's on there is probably original but fixed several times. LR parts are expensive for what your get, but that's nothing new.

Rolling your own with McMaster-Carr or your local auto parts store will undoubtedly be the cheapest option, but if you can tolerate your engine bay being bright blue, the Britpart hose kits may be an option (just watch for differences betwen RHD and LHD etc.)

Those are the breather hoses, I haven't seen anyone making the intake hoses for cheap(would love to be able to offer them)

Related, what is the point of #10 in the diagram above? An extra water trap?
I certainly find a lot of dirt in mine sometimes... just curious.

im guessing there's no McMaster in South Africa.
Factual statement there.. My apologies I assumed you were stateside. I would actually be interested to know how many of us are based outside the USA.

Anyway, the tubing is like a duct hose or similar that could be used for dust extraction. I am not familiar on what kind of building supply shops to check out there, Could aslo check in ZA ATS race supply and ask for 60mm brake duct hose, or racesupplies.co.za and ask them the same thing.

Sorry, I am stateside. I meant that the PO didn't have that option.

at this point i need to get the plastic hose (5) as well, mine has been modified destroyed. Anyone have one taken off from a swap or spare? still need 6 from above, but my water valve and the hose going into the airbox are still ok. thanks.
