New Defenders starting to show up at dealers

Well you don't need the cameras to drive the car, so yeah its annoying but not a deal breaker.

But if I had just paid...55k or 85k (seems like most are 75-85k) I'd be pissed if everything didn't work 100% perfect before running a tank of fuel through it.

I leave it to 1st year issues.

Frustrating to see no end to the repetitive nature of LR electrical and electronic problems.

haha wait until they start having air suspension issues... Not like LR has had 28 years to get that right or anything. My wife loves the new one, I'd get one on a lease I think for her.
Our local dealer has plenty of stock, and they are bringing in ones that are in the mid 50's

My wife saw her first new Defender today. I parked our 110 in front of my mother in law's house while doing some work on it. My wife went to get some tools out of the back when two guys pulled up asking directions. They saw the 110 and asked ``Is that a Defender ?", She replied yes. They excitedly said "oh just like ours".

There are piles of Defender Pretenders on the lot here in Harrisburg, PA. I don't think they're flying off the showroom floor.

There is a bunch of them in Pittsburgh as well.
While I’ll always have the RRC in the garage as well as more than likely the D1, I’d look elsewhere if buying a new SUV. I’m ok if Rangie or Disco needs attention - it is expected. Buying a new vehicle in this day and age, it should be reliable out of the gate.

Arghhh... almost as bad as the “nice Jeep” comment we all get.

One Boston area dealer has discovered that the simple basic spec vehicles sell best.

Wonder if somethings just stay the same..

I have to say the ones I see with the basic spec steel wheels make me smile.

There are lot of them showing up in my area in all different configurations.

Other than the one still sitting at the used car lot in Portland, it looks like the Portland dealer only has one in stock at $85k or so. I have seen three in the past few weeks, one in that brown color that looks pretty good. Still can’t believe anyone likes the front end of these things, though. And more and more people who review them say they really are just the new Disco, not a Defender.

They are in the midst of a model year changeover from 20 to 21. I've been offered good discounts on in-stock 20's - $3000 or more.

Have started seeing them around Phoenix. Their shape, which is a contrived reference to the classic SII-on look, wastes a lot of what otherwise would be interior space. See LR3. It's afflicted with the jelly bean bias toward aeorodynamics of modern vehicle design, and doesn't really stand out from other medium sized SUV's. One I only noticed because of the ladder on the side. No lunchboxes yet.
The Jalopnik article is a joke. NAS Defs were serial numbered limited editions. Not exactly a high bar. Maybe the Pretender can make up for the difference between LR3/4 sales and Disco 5's. I wouldn't call that progress, tho.
