Where do you get parts?

Has anyone noticed a difference in shipping times from RN? Usually it’s a day or 2. I just got a package I ordered over a week ago? I did notice there was now a choice of options and I picked the cheapest, on a trip from VT to NY my package spent a day or two in VA somehow.

I'm a one man show. As I explain to my customers I don't shop around for that $9.99 in savings as I'll bill them for that time hunting for the best deal. not that cost effective. The best deal also can be a minefield when an issue comes up. I buy regional to me, Rovers North / Lucky8. Occasionally UK items but these are more specific to off road bits not carried state side. NAPA for most items on US spec trucks and universal items (fluids). Belmetric.com for all metric nuts and bolts.

There is mention that some vendors have higher pricing. this is true, but the moment you have a huge order go sideways and just need to make one phone call to have it sorted out, this makes every extra penny worth it. I can't afford to have unbillable time while spending a day calling 15 vendors whom I've never shook hands with, all over $50 in "savings".

A business is a whole different thing really. I'm surprised a business buys retail. It is simple to buy direct from the wholesalers, especially these days.

Shipping times can vary quite a bit. Since you ordered via the website during the black Friday sale and selected USPS, it took much longer than a normal package would have. USPS is occasionally surprising but usually disappointing, as is the case when it took 6 days for your package to go 1 state.

The order I did with you last week by USPS arrived next day, save for the incompetent mail carrier that refused to deliver it because there was more than 5 inches of uncleared snow between the mailbox and the road.

One of the few things I miss about living in NYC was getting parts in usually 2 days from RN, L8, and AB. I don't think there's anyone I get stuff from on the west coast other than EE.
