From Logan UT yesterday...courtesy of #1 daughter ... apparently I'm no supposed to call her the "oldest" any more
Was that picture taken on the University grounds? If so, that might be my buddies.
Nice rig, I like the Alpine window guards. I see that it has the European plate and state plate. I got a $283 ticked from WA State Patrol for doing that. The ticket was dismissed in court but still a hassle and time spent I didn't really have.Just had a great chat with the owner of this one. As you can see it's a rolling resto soon to be painted it's original Arles Blue. RHD Tdi. Her husband maintains it for her.

Defender at Grytviken, South Georgia Island. Guaranteed low mileage as there is less than 2.5 miles of driving surface there however the salt air will take its toll on the chassis

No, fulfilling a dream. I have been wanting to go to Antarctica since my Coast Guard days in the early 70's. I tried to get on an icebreaker heading south but was unsuccessful.Surveyor, Doing seismic work?
Kind of cool place, have a couple trips down there, first time wearing a blue beret, than two years doing seismic work. Are the two Ladies still running the Globe pub? Seems I spent more time in there than having hot dinners. No, fulfilling a dream. I have been wanting to go to Antarctica since my Coast Guard days in the early 70's. I recently retired from a 40 year land surveying career, my wife and I took an 18 day trip to the Falklands, South Georgia Island and the Antarctic Peninsula with Quark Expeditions. It was an awesome trip with zodiac cruises, shore landings, bird watching and up close encounters with penguins, seals and whales.
