Neighbor down the street got a 4Runner to use as parts, then recycled it for $2k in his pocket. Talk the guy down to a reasonable price, take the parts that are good, then get the value of the metal -- aluminum has pretty high value for recycling.

I highly doubt that engine is good... If it were $1k-2k... maybe is worth the effort.

Even the title get dinged... that's worthless too.

This is an odd listing. It's within a mile or two of where I am, the images on the listing look like they could be in this neighborhood. But I've never seen the car, don't know who owns it.

My truck is also original LHD from Dubai. So I was studying the pics and noticed the shark gill vents on the sides of the wings. I got curious and googled for more pics of Dubai trucks and found this second listing from Utah, still with California plates, and still with the same odd VIN# and a much higher price. The pics in this second listing are obviously not in Utah. Just seems odd:

Sounds like a vin swap. If California is reading, they’ll surely flag the vin For further investigation.

Well, I say it is odd because under other circumstances, it is a legal vehicle. It's odd that there is such a huge price difference, in two different states, while still being a California car. I'm wondering if Utah wouldn't allow registration. And I wonder if Oregon is doing the same, forcing a sale for what looks like a good truck. A truck that was ruined because someone with money couldn't wait a year or two to import it legally.
