VDO Gauge Guide

The only way they could be different (other than the clock) is if he bought ones from different series. Sometimes the cockpit and visions get mixed up, but they are different.

Condensation leads to rust, Rust leads to anger, Anger leads to hate, Hate leads to suffering.

Some how I missed this.

This is a way better signature line than "pissing people off on the internet since the begining of time" or whatever your line has been

I got mine from the lauderdale speedo folks. They updated the miles driven so it’s correct. The only “mistake” I made was getting one gage too many. So now I have to decide what to do with the extra gage and sensor. Add more or sell...

Incidentally, my EGT has a different bulb housing and the WLED-G4 does not fit. I've called egauges twice and both times they were going to research and call me back - no calls, of course.

Anyone else have this issue?

Guys,
I'm having Uncle Doug swap out my 2.5 N/A for a 3.5 L V8 from a RRC with the 14CUX Full Injection from a 3.9. While he has it I want to swap out my gauges for VDO and add a couple. Looking for suggestions on what I should have along with the part numbers. I read through this thread and it seems like it is mostly focused on TDi engines.
Main questions:
1. Are the temp ranges of the gauges below correct?
2. Do I need specific senders?
3. Whats the purpose of having a voltmeter and/or ammeter?

Here is what I think I need. Please let me know if I'm off on any of these:

437-152 85 MPH Speedo (12/24V) 3 3/8" - Vision Black
333-158 6K RPM Tach (12V) 2 1/16" - Vision Black
301-105 E-F 240-33 Ohms Fuel Level (12V) 2 1/16" - Vision Black
310-105 250F Water (12V) 2 1/16" - Vision Black
310-106 300F Oil (12V) 2 1/16" - Vision Black
350-104 80 PSI Oil (12V) 2 1/16" - Vision Black
310-107 400F Trans Oil (12V) 2 1/16" - Vision Black

Thanks for your input.

Where did you find the speedo 437-152?

I have the VDO Speedometer 437-155 and used the V8 speed transducer YBE100530 (the price has almost tripled since I bought mine )

The fuel gauge works with the stock fuel sender.

Get all the rest with the VDO sending unit... Others might work. But it's a safe bet to get the kit.

The speedo is the wrong size. You want a 4" speedometer. With a 14CUX, you need to use YBE100540 with a resistor. Details are elsewhere....

Why do you want a transmission oil gauge?

All temperature and pressure gauges need appropriate sized senders for the ports.

I have 437-155. The body of the speedo is a mm or two too big. Just open the hole a fraction and you are good.
